Your Questions about Learning English in Cambridge

Our English courses in Cambridge are designed for adult learners who want to improve their English in a structured, supportive environment. They are ideal for international visitors, students, professionals, and anyone in Cambridge looking to build confidence in speaking, reading and understanding English. 

These English classes are suitable for learners from pre-intermediate and above. Ideally levels A2, B1 or B2. On your first day, you’ll complete a short placement test so we can make sure the group is working at an appropriate level for everyone. 

Classes are kept deliberately small, usually with no more than 8 students. This allows for plenty of speaking practice, individual feedback, and a relaxed learning environment. 

Yes. This is an intensive half-day English course, running for 15 hours per week on weekdays. Regular attendance is expected so lessons can build naturally over the four-week programme. 

Yes. Students who complete the four-week programme receive a certificate of completion, along with feedback on their progress during the course.

You’ll complete a short English assessment at the beginning and again at the end of the course. Our assessments track progress across six core skills:

• Speaking

• Listening

• Reading

• Writing

• Grammar

• Vocabulary

No. All courses run as complete 4-week English programmes, and we do not offer week-to-week or casual classes. This ensures consistency within the group and allows lessons to develop properly. 

If you miss a class, you can rejoin the course as normal the following day. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds, replacement lessons, or individual catch-up sessions for missed classes. 

The course focuses on British English, as it is spoken in Cambridge. We also cover common differences between British and American English to help you identify and understand both confidently.

We do not provide accommodation, meals or transport. However, we’re happy to offer general advice on transport and accommodation options in and around Cambridge.

We accept credit & debit cards and bank transfers. Once you are ready to book, a secure payment link will be emailed to you and you can choose your preferred option. Payment is due in full before the course start date.

You are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of booking, provided the course has not yet started. After this period, course fees are non-refundable. Full details are available on our Refund Policy page.
