Lazy Dog English Studio
These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses and services provided by Lazy Dog English Studio. By booking a course, you agree to be bound by these terms.
All courses are offered as fixed 4-week programmes and must be paid in full at the time of booking. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Courses consist of 50 hours of tuition over 4 weeks, delivered face-to-face in small groups (maximum 8 students).
Lessons are delivered according to the published timetable. No reductions or substitutions are available.
Courses are designed for adult learners (18+) at A2–B2 level.
All students complete a placement assessment at the start of the course. Lazy Dog English Studio reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment if a course is not suitable for a learner’s level.
Regular attendance is expected.
Missed lessons due to illness, travel, work, or personal circumstances:
cannot be refunded
cannot be rescheduled
cannot be carried over
This applies to individual lessons and whole days.
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
In summary:
A full refund is available within 14 days of payment, provided the course has not started.
No refunds are available once the course has started.
No refunds are given for missed classes or early withdrawal.
The full Refund Policy should be read alongside these terms.
Lazy Dog English Studio reserves the right to:
cancel a course before it begins (e.g. due to insufficient enrolments or unforeseen circumstances), or
make minor changes to course content or timetable where necessary.
If a course is cancelled before it begins, students will be offered:
a full refund, or
a transfer to a future course (subject to availability).
If a course is cancelled after it has started, a pro-rata refund will be issued for undelivered lessons only.
Students who attend the course will receive a certificate of completion.
Certificates confirm participation and attendance only and do not guarantee a specific language level or outcome.
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards the teacher and other students.
Lazy Dog English Studio reserves the right to remove a student from the course, without refund, in cases of:
disruptive behaviour
harassment or discrimination
repeated failure to follow reasonable instructions
Students are responsible for ensuring they are fit to attend classes.
Lazy Dog English Studio cannot accept responsibility for:
illness
injury
loss or damage to personal belongings
Reasonable adjustments may be made for students with disabilities or impairments where appropriate. Disclosure of such conditions is not mandatory, but early confidential disclosure is encouraged to allow reasonable adjustments to be assessed and, where possible, implemented.
Courses are delivered in person in central Cambridge.
Exact class locations are confirmed prior to the course start date.
Personal data is processed in accordance with UK data protection law.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
